Funky Monkey 5K

Time:  5K Start - 8am   Fun Run Start - 9am

Location:  University of South Alabama Campus, Mobile, AL

                 SGA Pavilion at the Intramural Fields

Benefits:  Thompson Holdings Foundation

Course:  Certified 5K course on the USA campus.  The 3/4 mile Fun Run course loops the Intramural Fields. 

Entry fees:  Pre-registered:  Adults - $20; Children (12 and under) - $12

                     Day of Race:  Adults - $25; Children (12 and under) - $15  

(Cash or check made payable to Thompson Engineering. Note Funky Monkey 5K on the memo line.) 

Online Registration Deadline: March 8, 2012 Day of Registration available at the USA campus, SGA Pavilion

Parking: Parking is available at the lot next to the SGA Pavilion and at designated spots on campus. (See map below.)

Shirts: The first 200 participants are guaranteed a Funky Monkey 5K Tech T-Shirt (dry-wick performance shirt) sized for men or women. Cotton t-shirts in unisex sizing will also be available.  

Awards:  Top three male and female Overall, top male and female Masters, Grandmasters and Senior Grandmasters. Top three male and female in age groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, and 75-99.  

Special Activities and Awards: Take on the Funky Monkey Charity Challenge! The charity with the largest participation receives a $1,000 grant from the Thompson Holdings Foundation! It’s easy to participate. Just write the name of the charity* you’re representing on your Funky Monkey 5K registration form. Then recruit more of your friends to join your Charity Challenge team!  Charity Challenge participants must pre-register by March 8, 2012.

Post-Race Party: Hang out at the Funky Monkey Finish Party and enjoy Mobile's Biggest Banana Split by Cammie's Old Dutch Ice Cream Shoppe, PB&J, bananas, beer and more!
